Finance Director - Manufacturing | A Defining Career Chapter £90000 - £12000 Equity Some roles keep the wheels turning. This one builds the machine for the next stage. A high-growth FMCG manufacturing business is at a pivotal moment. New products have launched. Strategic retailer partnerships are secured. Investment in technology and operational efficiency is underway. And with a buy-and-build strategy gathering pace - three micro acquisitions in the pipeline and more to follow - this is a business gearing up for something special. They now need a Finance Director who wants to be at the heart of that journey. This isn’t a role for someone in an ivory tower. Yes, you’ll have a team - but your impact starts by rolling up your sleeves and shaping the finance function itself. The foundations need strengthening. Processes need sharpening. Systems and reporting need to match the ambition of the business. Once that base is set, your influence will spread across the whole organisation: manufacturing, operations, commercial and strategy. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the MD and leadership team to scale the business, deliver on acquisitions, and prepare for an eventual transaction and exit. Why this role matters: Manufacturing is at the core of the business - your financial insight will shape decisions across production, margins, cost control and efficiency. You’ll lead from the front, building a best-in-class finance function while staying close to the numbers. You’ll partner with operations, supply chain and commercial teams to turn financial insight into action. And you’ll help steer a buy-and-build strategy that will see the business double in size and deliver a significant payday on exit. Where you’ll make your mark: Establish a robust, future-fit finance function to support ambitious growth. Lead financial strategy, forecasting and governance, while staying hands-on where it counts. Embed financial rigour across manufacturing and operational teams. Partner with leadership on acquisitions, integration and future M&A activity. Play a central role in exit planning and shaping the business for sale. Who we’re looking for: A commercially astute, hands-on finance leader who thrives in manufacturing environments. Proven experience in high-growth settings, ideally with M&A or exit exposure. Someone with the vision, resilience and energy to shape finance and influence the wider business. A leader who’s comfortable getting into the detail but also operating at board level. CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CA qualified. This is a rare opportunity to step into a transformative role where your leadership will shape a business, build real enterprise value, and create a career-defining chapter with tangible rewards at the end .
