The company is a successful IT Cyber Security & Data Consultancy, established some 20 years ago, they have worked for a number of well-known organisations. They are rapidly expanding and aim to grow 300% by 2028.
They work at the cutting edge of Data and Cyber system integration. The Consultancy has been through change and now are leaner and fitter than ever. Due to recent business wins in Aerospace, Defence and Security sectors they are looking for a Telemetry / Observability Consultant.
Role Description - Hybrid or Remote
The company is looking for a young Observability professional to help global companies converge Observability and SIEM platforms to solve complex problems. This is a full-time role working hybrid or remote depending on distance from their HQ in Bristol. The Consultant will be responsible for designing / advising clients on solutions for messy, complex real-world telemetry / observability problems.
The Consultant will take ownership of projects, they will shape service definitions and consulting methodology, this is a client facing role, running discovery workshops, writing pipeline design documents and, helping to build a scalable operate offering. The successful person will understand: collect > process > route > store patterns.
This is an interesting Consulting role working in telemetry pipeline / observability consulting (using Cribl, OTel, Splunk etc) pipeline work, running discovery workshops and responsible for design documents.
**This is not a role where you deliver for someone else.** My client has an experienced team of people who can help you complete projects.
Experience
The successful person will have some 3 to 8 years work experience. You could have a range of skills and experiences, however you must have both technical and client facing skills. Experiences that are suitable for this role include:
1) Telemetry or Data Pipeline or Log Management experience who also have Cribl or OTel or OpenTelemetry or Fluentd or Logstash or Vector software experience
2) Observability or SRE / Site Reliability experience who also have Consulting or Advisory experience
3) Cyber Security / Threat Detection experience with Splunk or Sentinel or Elastic Security or QRadar or Chronicle or Defender XDR or LogRhythm or Exabeam and Pipeline or Ingest or Telemetry or Architecture
4) SIEM Data / Platform Engineer with Consulting or PreSales or Architect / Design experience
