TEMPORARY FOR 7 MONTHS 22 HOURS PER WEEK

As an integral part of our team, you’ll provide essential administrative and advisory support, helping us deliver high-quality HR services across the council.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?
Your responsibilities will include:

* Managing the HR inbox and responding to a wide range of enquiries
* Offering general advice on HR policies and procedures
* Supporting the team with projects and casework
* Maintaining accurate HR records and producing reports
* Ensuring compliance with GDPR and confidentiality standardsThis is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive HR environment, with hybrid working arrangements to support your work-life balance.
We’re seeking someone who is:
* Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Tech-savvy, with experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* A strong communicator, confident in both written and verbal communication
* Team-spirited, but also comfortable working independently
* Interested in HR, with a desire to grow and develop in the field
WHAT WILL I NEEDYou’ll also need aLevel 2 qualificationin Business Administration, HR, HRM, or a related area, and experience working in an office
environment

HYBRID WORKING
Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
