We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Elmbridge to assist with the appointment of a Countryside Estates Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £22.97 - £29.41 per hour Responsibilities: Manage, supervise, and support the Countryside Team to deliver high-quality environmental and estate management services. Prepare annual and quarterly work programmes, monitor progress, and produce maintenance reports. Ensure all staff are adequately trained and work in compliance with Health & Safety Regulations. Undertake and monitor tree works and support the Arboricultural and Countryside Officer when required. Oversee the procurement and management of countryside contracts, including forestry and ditch maintenance. Liaise with conservation groups and record ecological surveys on council-owned land. Qualification s : Relevant qualification to Degree level or equivalent experience relevant to the post. Experience: Experience of practical habitat management. Experience of staff supervision Experience dealing face-to-face with the public Experience producing, implementing, and monitoring work programmes. Essentials: Full UK Driving Licence.
