About the role Janner House provide temporary supported accommodation for adults who are 18, motivated to change and willing to engage with solutions focused housing related support. The service supports people to develop the key skills needed to prevent homelessness, improve financial capability and to develop the skills to settle in the community and achieve positive progression. You will play an essential part of our team where you’d be required to work in the project and in the community - supporting people in their own homes. Your role will be hands on in working collaboratively with the people we support to reach their goals and help them to positively move on into their own tenancy. You also get to feel the rewards of seeing someone you have supported, positively move on into their own tenancy and achieve their goals. Part of your role will also include sleep-in shifts at the scheme, where you will be provided with a secluded area that includes a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen facilities. Your day will consist of: Engaging and interacting with the people we support Writing and following a support plan with the individual you are supporting Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management, health, and wellbeing Liaising with external agencies Supporting with external appointments to GPs and job centres Organising and participating in activities Dealing with any conflict that arises Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have Skills and Experience Needed Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.
