Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant
Position: Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Sefton (L23 area), starting September for 6 months
Type: Temp to perm, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am - 3:15 pm
Role Overview:
Milk Education is working with a primary school to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant. You will support a child with ASD who has an existing ECHP, supported by the inclusion team. Responsibilities include assisting in the classroom and in the sensory room. Full training will be provided.

Your Role & Responsibilities:
* Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
* Support pupils in raising attainment, aspiration, and self-esteem
* Respond to individual needs and support pupils consistently
* Work closely with the class teacher to ensure a safe and engaging environment
Qualifications & Experience:
Hold a Level 2/3 qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, etc.) or relevant recent experience supporting children in education, social care, nursery, community/youth roles, college/university placements, or volunteer roles. Candidates without formal qualifications but with extensive experience supporting children are also encouraged to apply.
* Experience supporting children in schools or SEN settings
* Ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher
* Two suitable references from the last 2 years
* Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
