I’m working with a well‑established North West main contractor who are looking to add a Design & Planning Coordinator into their pre‑construction / delivery support function.
They’re open minded on background, this could suit a good graduate with something about them, or someone with 1–3 years’ experience in a design/technical/admin support role who doesn’t mind a dual role.
To be clear, this isn’t a hands‑on designer position. It’s more about coordination, organisation, and keeping things moving across design info and planning.
What you’ll be doing
Chasing and coordinating design information (drawings, documents, approvals)
Keeping trackers / registers up to date and making sure info is where it needs to be
Supporting planning submissions, conditions and general planning coordination
Liaising with external consultants (architects, engineers, planners) and internal teams
Helping keep pre‑con / project teams organised with design‑related admin and follow‑ups
Joining meetings where needed, taking actions and making sure things don’t driftWhat they’re looking for
Someone organised, switched on, and happy wearing two hats (design/admin + planning support)
Ideally 0–3 years experience (or a strong grad with the right attitude)
Any exposure to construction, technical, architecture, design coordination, planning or document control is useful
AutoCAD/Revit not required (nice to have, but not essential)
Most important: someone proactive who will just get on with it and take ownershipHow to apply
