We have a fantastic opportunity for a one year fixed term Assessing Social Worker to join our Kinship Assessment team.

Qualifications
* Social Work Qualification; BA/MA/DipSW/CSS/CQSW. Registered with the Social Work England.
* Number of years of post qualification within a statutory social work setting, with experience of undertaking detailed and comprehensive assessments and risk assessments.
* Post qualifying experience of working within Children’s Social Care Service settings and in the provision of fostering and / or adoption Services.
* Experience of assessment work with foster carers, connected / kinship carers, and / or adopter households. Experience of writing Court reports.
* Knowledge of relevant existing legislation and in-depth knowledge of National Minimum Standards, Statutory Regulations and Guidance which relate to Kinship care, fostering, SGO and CAO care options.
* Knowledge of the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and how children impacted by these can be cared for in a way which encourages recovery and resilience.
* Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, to prioritise and work under pressure, to work to strict timescales, to work in a professional way with families and other professionals. Also must be able to work as part of a team and demonstrate a flexible approach and persistence and resourcefulness to get things done.
