This is a fantastic opportunity to teach DT across Key Stages 3–5 in a forward-thinking department. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop practical skills, problem-solving ability, and creative confidence across areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, and Food Technology.


Design & Technology Teacher Role

* Design & Technology Teacher (ECTs and experienced teachers considered)

* January 2026 start

* Permanent, full-time position

* Salary: MPS1 – UPS3

* Location: Reading

This well-established 11–18 mixed comprehensive school has a roll of over 1,200 students, including a large and successful Sixth Form. Experience and Qualifications required for this DT Teacher position

* Degree in Design & Technology or a related subject

* PGCE or QTS

* Ability to teach DT across KS3/4 (KS5 desirable)

* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for practical, hands-on teaching

* Willingness to contribute to extracurricular clubs, competitions, and enrichment


Salary

The DT Teacher role will be paid to scale (MPS/UPS) on a permanent contract.
