Chemical Production/Operations Manager £60k Signing Bonus Annual Bonus The Production Manager’s role is to ensure stability, integrity, and efficient operations of all plant personnel; be proficient in production planning and resource management while also possessing strong teamwork-oriented leadership, communication, supervision and problem-solving abilities to guide their team of employees and drive operational efficiency. Responsibilities: Advanced planning, delegation, coordination and oversight of daily shop and field manufacturing operations. Clearly communicate and actively listen to team members. Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their goals by fostering a positive and productive work environment while creating an enduring culture of team success. Effectively manage resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, to optimize current and future production needs. Utilize experience and historical data to identify opportunities for success, predictable issues, and make informed decisions. Collaborate as a member of the management team to achieve all the business goals. Follow corporate guidelines to administer the performance reviews and compensation program. Participate in weekly production schedule meetings, monthly safety committee meetings and quarterly ISO Quality System Management Meetings. Recruit, hire and support training for most qualified candidates. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Chemistry, Chemicals or engineering Degree is a must Proven leadership and development of project-based manufacturing operations. Excellent communication skills; written and verbal. Teamwork oriented. Proficiency in Microsoft Applications Required Skills Ability to develop and implement the best long-term decisions. Able to adjust to changing circumstances and new challenges.
