We are seeking a Digital Content & Channel Executive on a full time, permanent basis. Based in one of our facilities in Aberdeen or Norwich (however location is flexible), the Digital Content & Channel Executive plays a central role in Acteon's Brand Communications & Production team and is responsible for producing, adapting, and publishing high-quality digital content across web, email, social and internal platforms. Reporting to the Brand and Content Operations Manager, the role combines digital copywriting with technical publishing and channel management to deliver accurate, on-brand and engaging communications across campaign, corporate and event activities. Acting as the central coordinator for digital production workflows, the Executive manages scheduling, task coordination, and content deployment to create a consistent and seamless digital experience. The role also oversees day to day channel execution and governance, ensuring publishing continuity, compliance with standards, and timely escalation of high risk or corporate-level content for managerial review.

Duties & Main Responsibilities

Digital Content Execution

* Write, review, and adapt channel ready digital content outputs across (web, email, social media, PR and media, and internal channels), ensuring clarity, tone of voice alignment, and brand consistency.

* Build and activate content across CMS, HubSpot and internal platforms, ensuring accuracy, accessibility and timely delivery across campaigns, corporate initiatives, and events.

* Build simple HubSpot email workflows (e.g. form follow-ups, event confirmations, or basic nurture sequences) using approved templates provided by the Marketing Technology & Digital Experience team.

* Ensure all content meets SEO, accessibility, tagging and metadata standards, using on page recommendations/governance from the Marketing Technology & Performance Analyst to improve discoverability and performance.

* Work with the Marketing Technology & Performance Analyst to understand and interpret SEO and performance insights, applying required improvements to existing content and identifying opportunities for new or enhanced digital content.

* Collaborate with Marketing Campaign Leads and Brand and Content Operations Manager, to ensure messaging is accurate and aligns with audience expectations, business priorities, and brand governance protocols.

* Conduct routine website hygiene checks, including link integrity, outdated content, accessibility compliance, and metadata accuracy.

* Prepare basic social and web performance summaries and apply tactical optimisations under guidance from the Manager and the Marketing Technology & Performance Analyst.

Workflow Ownership & Coordination

* Own the digital publishing calendar, scheduling content, resolving conflicts between campaigns, corporate updates, events and PR and media activity, and coordinating timing with stakeholders.

* Manage end-to-end production workflows for digital outputs, including scheduling, task coordination, and progress tracking.

* Work closely with the Creative Designer & Digital Marketing Officer to plan creative and digital outputs, ensuring smooth delivery. Provide mutual support during peak periods to maintain continuity.

* Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders to ensure aligned, on-time delivery and resource efficiency.

* Identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints or recurring issues and recommend process improvements for production efficiency.

Quality Assurance & Optimisation

* Conduct QA checks on digital assets to ensure functionality, accuracy, and compliance with UX best practices.

* Ensure digital outputs meet brand, editorial and technical governance standards, escalating risks to the Brand and Content Operations Manager when necessary.

* Work with the Marketing Technology & Digital Experience Manager to support channel optimisation initiatives and align content with platform requirements, templates, accessibility rules, and performance guidelines.

Collaboration & Governance

* Ensure adherence to brand and digital governance protocols across all outputs.

* Act as the operational link between Campaign Leads, Brand and Content Operations Manager, Global Events and External Alliances Manager, Marketing Technology & Digital Experience team and creative resources to ensure consistent, aligned and technically accurate digital execution.

* Provide feedback to improve guidance and content processes, supporting the ongoing evolution of Acteon's content and channel ecosystem.

* Collaborate with the Marketing Technology & Digital Experience team for UX and performance improvements.

* Escalate high-risk, sensitive, or corporate-level communications to the Manager, ensuring brand integrity and reputational accuracy.

* Support execution of internal communications by publishing messages across internal platforms, ensuring clarity and alignment with corporate standards (where required).

Additional Accountabilities

* Stay informed on emerging digital trends, tools, and best practices; recommend enhancements to content formats and publishing processes.

* Maintain clear documentation of publishing processes, standards, and workflows to support consistency, auditability, and onboarding.

Required

Essential

* Strong digital copywriting and editing skills, with ability to adapt content for web, email, and internal channels while maintaining tone, clarity, and brand voice.

* Experience publishing digital content using CMS and email and automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot), including formatting, tagging, metadata, accessibility, and applying editorial and quality control standards.

* Understanding of digital UX principles, web standards, and how visual assets integrate with copy to support engagement and discoverability (including SEO basics).

* Proven ability to manage workflows, coordinate production tasks, and prioritise across multiple projects and stakeholders.

* Excellent attention to detail, communication, and cross-functional collaboration communication skills.

* Ability to translate technical requirements for non-technical audiences.

* Ability to interpret basic performance insights and make tactical content improvements.

Desirable

* Deeper knowledge of SEO and analytics.

* Background in B2B or technical industries, especially energy, engineering, or industrial sectors

* Some experience in graphic design and creative asset production for digital channels.
