Senior Infectious Disease Modeller and Health Economist

Applications are invited for a Senior Infectious Disease Modeller and Health Economist to join a team working with Associate Professor Koen Pouwels. This research programme focuses on modelling the health-economic impact of interventions aimed at reducing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in various countries, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). You will join an expanding group of infectious disease modellers and health economists based at the University of Oxford’s Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences (NDPCHS).
The successful candidate will have a PhD in infectious disease epidemiology, health economics, or a related quantitative field. Experience in building infectious disease transmission models or applying ordinary/partial differential equations in research areas such as macroeconomics is required. A track record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications is essential.
