Due to continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join a leading global organisation that sources and procures a diverse selection of supplies and materials for international businesses across the infrastructure sector.
To be considered for this role, you must have previous international procurement experience within a similar technical/engineering environment such as Infrastructure, Mining, Energy, or Oil & Gas. A strong knowledge of UK-based manufacturing businesses is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Negotiate, source, and obtain materials, equipment, and services, achieving competitive pricing without compromising quality.
2. Liaise directly with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure quotes are secured and successfully delivered.
3. Provide customers with offers that meet their technical and commercial requirements, ensuring compliance, competitiveness, clarity, and comprehensiveness.
4. Execute and manage supplier contracts in accordance with guidelines to optimise cost, service, and quality.
5. Evaluate and select suppliers based on credibility/capability, as well as commercial, technical, and delivery criteria.
6. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines, due dates, and delivery schedules.
Skills & Experience:
* Strong knowledge of the infrastructure industry, equipment, suppliers, and key contacts.
* Good understanding of construction material requirements both in the UK and internationally.
* Knowledgeable about international supply chains, trade, and logistics challenges.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and manage relationships.
* Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers to ensure the best value outcomes for the business.
