Location: Buttershaw, Bradford (hybrid working) Work Type: Permanent, full time, 37 hours per week Monday Friday between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm We have an exciting opportunity for a Requisitions Manager to join the Developer Services team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Where you fit in? Developer Services works with commercial developers and customers to ensure any new developments have the correct water and wastewater plans in place. You will lead a technically focussed team that provides solutions on all mains infrastructure enquiries to customers and stakeholders through technical advice and support. Delivering these solutions to appropriate timescales within a statutory framework to the appropriate quality and always through an exceptional developer experience. By doing so, you and your team enable development and economic growth across the region playing your part in making Yorkshire a brilliant place to be. Some key role responsibilities include the following Accountable for all responses to enquiries on mains infrastructure facilitating new development and growth across the region whilst protecting Yorkshire Water assets and future network performance. Provision of support on large scale and complex new developments to ensure both customer needs are met, and Yorkshire Water interests and assets are protected. Accountable for the coaching, technical support, and advice given to colleagues ensuring new assets are designed and constructed to appropriate standards and existing assets are not adversely impacted by new development activity. Attend and contribute to external meetings with key stakeholders, including formal meetings with Developers, SLPs and NAVs to represent YW views and requirements. Through Performance Excellence, embed a continuous improvement culture, aligned to Yorkshire Water Purpose, Customer Experience Strategy and our Customer Promise where performance conversations take place daily/weekly with colleagues. Ensuring the vital few key metrics for safety, operational performance and wellbeing are routinely and visibly tracked, monitored and quickly acted upon where necessary to ensure we consistently deliver (and where possible exceed) against key metrics that deliver upper quartile D-MeX performance Undertake daily analysis of performance that supports day to day management of the new mains infrastructure team to deliver high quality technical solutions to property developers withing agreed timescales and supports fluctuating demands in workloads and cover periods of absence Undertake quality audits on an on-going basis that ensure compliance with regulatory undertaking, allow for root cause analysis that drive future improvement to support an improvement in future performance Manage escalated internal and external enquiries by telephone, mail or email to ensure that a seamless, efficient service is delivered to customers. What skills & qualifications you will need: Ideally degree-qualified or equivalent - Engineering, Construction, Project Management or Environmental disciplines. Understanding of clean water networks and their operation through the water cycle. Be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of water mains design and construction. Specialist or subject matter expert of a technical area and/or operational experience of water assets and systems from Source to tap Commercial awareness. Strong people manager with proven experience managing large teams Excellent leadership qualities with a proven track record of driving sustainable performance against challenging business targets. Excellent influencing, negotiating and communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to identify, deliver and embed change to influence and drive positive culture and behaviours to drive performance improvement. Ability to operate in a highly regulated environment. Passionate about customer service and business performance. Experience of working within a resource planning environment. It would be desirable if you have Project Management or Contract Management experience and/or related qualifications It would also be advantageous if you understand relevant sections of the Water Industry Act, Town and Country Planning Act and other relevant legislation (e.g. Land Drainage, Highways and Building Acts).
