About the role
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse or Clinical Research Practitioner with relevant qualifications to join the Haematology Trials Team at Addenbrooke’s Hospital within the Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre.
Responsibilities
* Identify and recruit eligible patients for a wide range of clinical trials, including CTIMPs, observational studies and commercially led research.
* Provide patient‑focused support and information, obtain informed consent, and coordinate study treatment and interventions.
* Collect and manage data and pharmacokinetic blood samples in accordance with ICH Good Clinical Practice, EU Clinical Trials legislation and NHS research governance frameworks.
* Offer specialist nursing advice and support to clinical staff, and liaise effectively with multidisciplinary team members.
* Build and maintain relationships across the wider CCTC, haematology disciplines, and Clinical Nurse Specialist teams to maximise patient referrals and trial recruitment.
* Take ownership of study management for specific trials, liaise with sponsors, Chief Investigators, Principal Investigators and deliver training to clinical staff.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse or Clinical Research Practitioner with relevant qualifications.
* Strong organisational and coordination skills, able to work autonomously in both out‑patients and inpatient settings.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with patients and colleagues.
* Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice guidelines, EU Clinical Trials legislation and NHS research governance is desirable.
