Description
We are currently forward planning for future roles that may become available as a Station Care Team Member (Area Based). This role is based across all stations from Shenfield to Southend Victoria and Southminster area. If you are successful in your application, you will be placed in our Talent Bank for up to six months. If a suitable opportunity becomes available during that time, you may be offered a role.
Please note that we are unable to accept your application if you do not meet the following criteria.
* Shift times will vary depending on location and will take place between 06:00 am and 22:30 pm. Shifts include working a combination of early, late and weekend working.
* You will be working an average 35 hours a week.
* Requires regular movement around stations.
* You will need a Full UK drivers’ licence and hold less than 6 points as this role will require you to travel between out stations via our company car.
* Please note that applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
* Candidates will be subject to successfully passing a safety critical medical, a Right to Work check & DBS check for this position.

In this role, as a Station Care Team Member, you’ll be the friendly face of Greater Anglia, delivering effective customer service while helping passengers travel smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide passenger assistance to enhance customer experience and address queries.
* Make clear announcements using mobile PA systems from platforms.
* Ensure smooth customer flow and assist mobility-impaired customers.
* Offer support during service disruptions for safety and comfort.
* Create a welcoming environment through proactive customer service.
* Perform station upkeep duties, including changing displays, litter picking, and preparing for winter.
* Support train dispatching and undertake other general station duties as needed.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
We’re looking for candidates who:
* Have a friendly, approachable demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively
* Are calm under pressure, able to think on their feet, and able to handle various situations
* Possess a “can-do” attitude and enjoy working as part of a team
* Take pride in providing top-notch customer service and passionate in ensuring customer safety
* Have team spirit and bring your unique self to strengthen our team and foster a positive work environment.
* Have familiarity using new technology such as smartphones to assist customers.

Greater Anglia operates a busy railway network between London Liverpool Street and the east of England. With a team of around 3,000 colleagues, we operate 134 stations throughout Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk. Greater Anglia also operate Stansted Express services between London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport.
