Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Note: This role is fully office-based at our Head Office in Carlisle. Successful candidates must be able to commute or relocate to this area.

Main Purpose of the Role:
To ensure that employees on the payroll(s) for which you are responsible are paid correctly, on time, and in compliance with statutory legislation.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Day-to-Day Payroll Processing
* Input all received data: new starts, leavers, changes, tax code changes, court orders, monthly hours, store bonus, and other ad hoc data.
* Follow up on missing or incomplete data.
* Calculate and input SSP, SMP, and SPP, ensuring payments comply with legislation.
* Maintain up-to-date absence spreadsheets.
* Run monthly reports to ensure pay rates are aligned with the National Minimum Wage.
* Complete payroll input according to the timetable.
* Process pay runs (initial, final, and supplementary) ensuring completion before BACS deadlines.
* Process month-end reports as scheduled.
* File statutory reports (FPS files) with HMRC on or before each pay date.
