Technical Designer | Amersham | Full Time | £32,000–£38,000 per annum
Our client is a market-leading joinery specialist renowned for creating bespoke kitchens, cabinetry, and furniture for discerning private clients and design professionals. Operating from a purpose-built workshop in Penn Street, Buckinghamshire, they deliver individually tailored joinery pieces of the highest quality, combining traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology.
Are you the right person for the job?
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in bespoke joinery or fitted furniture technical design
* Proficient in SolidWorks, with experience producing detailed manufacturing drawings
* Knowledge of SWOOD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office is advantageous
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical, problem-solving approach
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Passionate about technical design and maintaining high-quality standards
What will your role look like?
* Collaborate with other technical and design team members to detail bespoke joinery projects
* Produce accurate 3D models, shop drawings, and manufacturing packs using SolidWorks/SWOOD
* Create detailed specifications for procurement, manufacture, and client sign-off
* Identify and resolve production or installation challenges early in the process
* Maintain and update technical drawings, 3D models, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
* Provide technical advice and support to concept and sales designers
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical processes and CAD standards
