What will this role achieve?
The Business Development Manager will have full ownership of the Baked & Savoury P&L and commercial relationships in Morrisons worth £18m Net Sales.

The UK Sales Team at pladis employs approximately 150 people across functions including account management, category management and customer marketing. The team coordinates the delivery of the commercial budgets across the UK, split into three channels: Grocery; Convenience & Impulse; and Discounters. The Morrisons P&L is worth £73m in revenue.
Working pattern
Chiswick Park → Fully Remote. Employees are not expected in the office on any specific days, but Chiswick is their contractual place of work. They’re required to self-travel into the office for meetings whenever vital, but there are no set days of each week that they’re encouraged to be in by default.
Key deliverables
* Confer and agree the annual JBP with monthly tracking and communication internally and with the customer, ensuring a recovery plan if supervision is off
* Supervise and hold Morrisons to account on key business targets including OSF, share of space, distribution & value share
* Sell and confer an optimum and profitable Christmas Plan with Morrisons
* Be responsible for the contact strategy with buyers on a weekly basis and ensuring the full year plans are implemented
* Always seek new ways to drive incremental profitable sales through Morrisons format
* Ensure all customer promotional plans and admin are completed on time and in full
* Raise the profile of Morrisons strategy internally and ensure pladis continue to support their agenda profitability
* Support the controller in monthly internal forecast review meetings
* Own the sales forecast and ensure forecast accuracy is met to business targets
Bring your experience
* Essential experience in a customer-facing role within FMCG
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team toward business targets
* Strong problem solving and solution orientation
* Logical mind with strong attention to detail
* Good financial and commercial acumen
* Top 4 FMCG experience
* Experience dealing with Morrisons (or large grocer) as a customer
* Experience in Impulse categories
* Branded experience (as opposed to retailer brand)
