RSK Land Development and Engineering (LDE) Ltd, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a Principal Civil/Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in Exeter, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position.
RSK LDE Ltd was established in 2003, bringing together specialist design engineers to strengthen RSK's in-house capabilities. The team comprises experienced civil and structural engineering professionals with extensive expertise in the assessment, design, and construction of major development projects.
Responsibilities:
* Manage, lead, and deliver designs for multiple projects on time and within budget.
* Define engineering strategies and ensure adherence to them.
* Negotiate technical approval for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278, etc.).
* Ensure designs comply with current Codes of Practice.
* Maintain effective communication with the design team and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Knowledge of:
o Highway design and ground modelling.
o Drainage design and hydraulic modelling, including sustainable drainage systems.
o External works levels design, including Part M.
o Industry Codes of Practice and Health and Safety legislation.
* Software experience:
o AutoCAD,
o PDS/XP Site 3D (or similar),
o Microdrainage Windes/Flow (or similar),
o Microsoft Office suite.
* 5-10 years of experience in a similar sector within consultancy.
* Degree or HNC level education.
