Assistant Accountant
on a
6-month fixed term contract.
Due to increased workload, this newly created role represents an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional to join a collaborative, forward-thinking team.
The Opportunity
This position will suit an individual who is hands-on and enjoys working across a variety of finance tasks. The successful candidate will also be confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the month-end process, including preparation of journals and reconciliations
* Assisting with accounts payable and receivable functions
* Helping to produce management information and financial reporting packs
* Business partnering with stakeholders across the business, providing insight and analysis
* Liaising with outsourced providers for payroll and other finance functions
* Identifying opportunities for process improvement and supporting implementation of new ways of working
* Ad hoc financial analysis and project support as required
About You
We are seeking a candidate who brings:
* Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
* Strong technical and organisational skills, with good attention to detail
* A proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to adapt in a fast-moving environment
* Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work across different levels of the business
* Part-qualified or actively studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (desirable but not essential)
