Lightning Protection Foreman – UK Wide Projects (Nottinghamshire HQ) Location: Based from Nottinghamshire (National Travel Required) Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 Vehicle Overtime Lodging Allowance Industry: Lightning Protection | Earthing | Work at Height Safety Systems Type: Permanent, Full-Time The Opportunity We’re supporting a well-established specialist contractor and industry leader within Lightning Protection, Earthing, and Work at Height Safety Systems. Due to continued growth and long-term contract wins, they are seeking an experienced Lightning Protection Foreman to lead inspection, testing, and repair works across the UK (and occasionally overseas). This is a hands-on, field-based role suited to someone who enjoys site responsibility, technical work, and leading teams in safety-critical environments. The Role Supervise inspection, testing, and repair of Lightning Protection systems in line with: BS 6651 | BS EN 62305 | BS 7430 Carry out site-based inspection works across earthing and surge protection systems Deliver daily Toolbox Talks, POWRA, and ensure safe delivery of works Lead small teams of engineers and mentor junior operatives on site Support inspections of specialist height safety systems including: Fall Arrest & Lifeline Systems Edge Protection, Guardrails & Fixed Ladders Safety Eyebolts, Ladder Hooks and Roof Safety Equipment Maintain accurate site records, readings, and photographic evidence pre/post works Liaise professionally with clients, designers, subcontractors, and head office What You’ll Need Proven experience in Lightning Protection inspection and repair CSCS Card (NVQ Level II or III preferred) Strong working knowledge of BS EN 62305 and earthing standards Comfortable working at height and physically fit for site-based activity Full UK Driving Licence Basic IT ability for reporting and site documentation Willingness to lodge away regularly (essential) Desirable Certifications (Training Available) IPAF / PASMA Work at Height / Access & Rigging Fall Arrest Systems Asbestos Awareness / Manual Handling CAT & Genny / IRATA / Rope Access (advantageous) Additional Requirements Enhanced DBS Check and Security Clearance required Medical and fitness assessments carried out periodically What’s on Offer £45,000 – £55,000 basic salary (DOE) Company vehicle, tools, PPE provided Overtime and lodging allowances Training in rope access and specialist systems available Long-term progression with a recognised industry leader Interested?
