Job Description
Reporting into the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Continuous Improvement Administrator will be responsible for:
1. Creating, collating, analysing and inputting data gathered from the shopfloor (job cards) to identify trends and areas for improvement
2. Working closely with Engineering Leads to track and monitor part deliveries, ensuring timely availability of components
3. Managing mould equipment life expectancy and scrappage, utilising information from the Engineering team and SAP
4. Collaborating with the Quality team to prepare daily and monthly reports on production metrics and quality indicators
5. Liaising with the Quality Manager on stock availability, rework requirements, and defect analysis
6. Identifying items for reorder and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production needs
7. Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
8. Conducting regular audits of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement
9. Supporting the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and techniques across the production floor
10. Facilitating cross-functional communication between Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to drive continuous improvement efforts
11. Participating in root cause analysis sessions to address recurring issues and implement corrective actions
12. Maintaining accurate records of improvement projects, including progress tracking and outcome measurements
13. Assisting in the training and development of shopfloor staff on continuous improvement methodologies and tools
14. Contributing to the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor operational performance
Qualifications
15. Proficiency in SAP and experience using Excel to analyse and present data - Working knowledge of other Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook -
16. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
17. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a continuous improvement or similar role within a manufacturing environment
18. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen) - Experience in data analysis and report generation, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
19. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across various departments -
20. Experience in conducting audits and implementing quality control measures - Knowledge of production processes and inventory management techniques
21. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
22. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting
23. Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed
