Weapons
Our Weapons business works ethically, to provide complex weapons systems to customers. We equip the Royal Air Force with capabilities such as AMRAAM and Paveway IV precision guided munitions: the Royal Navy with our Phalanx close-in missile defence system and the British Army with Javelin portable anti-tank guided weapon system.
Summary of Role:Raytheon UK’s Weapons team is seeking a confident and driven Project Manager to lead a high‑performing Integrated Project Team within the Weapons and Sensors business. This role will manage the delivery of technically complex, high‑profile projects while building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will drive on‑time, high‑quality delivery, identify and support new business opportunities, and mentor junior Project Managers. The position also offers opportunities for national and international travel to customers and suppliers.
Essential
14. Degree-qualified in a technical, manufacturing, or project management discipline (or equivalent experience); formal PM qualification desirable
15. Proven Project Manager with experience delivering complex projects to time, cost, quality, and P&L targets
16. Strong issue, scope, risk, and opportunity management skills
17. Confident decision‑maker using project data and performance metrics
18. Experience managing project finances, reporting, and forecasting
19. Ability to lead and direct multi‑disciplinary teams effectively
Desirable
20. Experience in relevant industry domains
21. Strong stakeholder management skills, including customer and senior leadership engagement
22. Experience in capture/proposal management and winning bids
