Groundworker – Street Furniture Installation

£35,100 – £38,610 per year (dependent on HGV licence)

A well-established and expanding technology and engineering firm is looking for an experienced Groundworker to join their field-based installation team based in Hayes. This is a great opportunity for someone hands-on, safety-conscious, and eager to develop their career in a company that values long-term progression.
Your Role:
Install and maintain street furniture (e.g., bus shelters, signs, and stops)
Carry out groundworks – excavation, disconnection, removal, and reinstatement
Use a mobile app to track and document all work – no paperwork required
Operate power tools, site equipment, and vehicle-mounted cranes
Drive and maintain company vehicles (UK Driving Licence required)
Follow all health & safety protocols and site procedures
️ Requirements:
Groundworker or construction labouring experience – essential
UK Driving Licence – essential
HGV Licence – highly desirable (higher salary offered)
CSCS, PASMA, or First Aid tickets – advantageous
Able to read and interpret construction-style drawings
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
Salary & Benefits:
£35,100 per year (for those without HGV Licence)
£38,610 per year (for those with HGV Licence)
2 hours guaranteed overtime per shift (after 8 hours worked, capped at 10 hours max)
Weekend work allowance: £297.92
20 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 25 with service)

Candidates should live within ~30-40 miles / 45-minute drive
