We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Learning Disabilities Psychiatry to join our client in Brecon, Brecknockshire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short‑term contract.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist psychiatric care for individuals with learning disabilities across inpatient and Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) settings
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
* Offer clinical supervision and support to junior medical staff
* Ensure full compliance with the Mental Health Act (MHA) and other relevant legislation
Qualifications & Experience
* Full GMC registration
* Section 12 approval
* Extensive experience in Learning Disabilities Psychiatry, particularly in inpatient and community settings
* Proven experience in a Consultant‑level role
