We are looking for a friendly and organised receptionist/administrator to support our busy Workington office. As the first face our clients see and the first voice they hear on the telephone, you’ll be someone who naturally puts people at ease. Behind the scenes, you’ll enjoy keeping on top of our administration tasks to support colleagues and ensure the office runs smoothly.

What you’ll do

As the go-to person for both clients and colleagues, your day might include:

* Welcoming clients in person and making them feel genuinely at home from the moment they arrive
* Answering calls, managing emails, and handling queries with warmth and professionalism
* Organising and maintaining diaries, scheduling appointments, booking meeting rooms, making travel arrangements and keeping everyone where they need to be
* Preparing correspondence, reports, and documents to a high standard
* Supporting colleagues with a range of administrative tasks — from filing, typing and data entry to scanning and post
* Keeping the office stocked, tidy, and running like clockwork
* Helping coordinate paperwork, deadlines and reminders


About you

You will be:

* ·A confident, friendly telephone manner and the ability to make clients and staff feel looked after
* ·Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail
* ·Comfortable juggling multiple tasks without getting flustered
* ·Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) — and happy to get to grips with our practice management software
* ·Discreet and trustworthy — you'll sometimes be handling sensitive financial information
* ·A genuine team player who also knows how to get on with things independently
