Teacher / Intervention Specialist – PRU (Secondary) | Sherborne | Full-Time | 8:30am–3:30pm
We are recruiting for a passionate and adaptable Teacher (or experienced Intervention Specialist) to join a dynamic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Sherborne.
This role involves delivering engaging lessons and targeted interventions to secondary-aged pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion. The school prides itself on its creative approach to learning and its commitment to supporting students in shaping their own futures.
The Role:
Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to small groups
Providing targeted interventions to support academic and emotional development
Engaging students through creative and alternative teaching approaches
Supporting pupils in re-engaging with education
Working collaboratively with support staff and leadership

We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Holds QTS
Has experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour
Is confident managing behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
Can engage and inspire students who may be disengaged from education
Is flexible, resilient, and committed to making a difference
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (full-time)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
