About The Role
We are looking for Life Practitioners to join our team at Clann Dion in Rand, Lincoln. You will provide essential support to individuals with severe learning disabilities and complex needs, helping them live independent lives by assisting with daily activities and accompanying them on trips into the community.
We provide a company vehicle for transporting supported people to community activities such as shopping, meals, appointments and outings. To drive the vehicle you must hold a full UK driver’s licence and have driven in the UK for at least two years.
Pay Rates
Starting rates for those without experience are £12.31, and for those with experience it’s £13.60 per hour. New Entry – £12.31, Level 1 – £12.60, Level 2 – £13.10, Level 3 – £13.60.
You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills through our competency framework, unlocking pathways to increased hourly rates.
Shift Details
Days – 40 hrs per week. Shifts are either 5 x 8‑hour shifts or 4 x 10‑hour shifts. Part‑time shifts are also available. Hours to be agreed with Manager.
Responsibilities
* Work with the staff team across all levels to safeguard our young people at all times.
* Participate in a wide range of recreational events within the home and the wider community.
* Assist with practical tasks related to care, e.g. cooking and cleaning.
* Build positive relationships with the young people, maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
* Meet the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the young people.
* Maintain accurate and clear record‑keeping.
* Review and record any changes to the needs of the young people.
* Contribute to the development of the team.
Qualifications and Experience
* A genuine passion for care and a motivation to support others’ progression.
* A strong team player.
* Resilient and willing to ask for support as needed.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Computer literacy.
