Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Commercial & Property Litigator (5+ PQE) to join a well-established Dispute Resolution team. Based in either Hove or Crawley (two of the firm's five offices across the South East), you'll handle a varied and challenging caseload for a diverse range of clients, including businesses, landlords, developers, and individuals. This is a senior role within a friendly, progressive firm that offers a supportive environment with no time recording requirements.
The Role
You will manage a wide mix of litigation work, including:
* Commercial litigation such as contractual disputes, director/shareholder matters, and professional negligence.
* Property litigation (commercial & residential) including lease renewals, dilapidations, rent arrears, forfeiture, boundary disputes, possession claims, and landlord & tenant issues.
* Advising clients on litigation strategy, risk management, and settlement options.
* Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
* Supporting business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Mentoring junior colleagues and assisting the partnership in growing the commercial litigation offering in the region.
About You
* Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 5+ years' PQE in commercial and property litigation.
* Strong technical expertise across both commercial disputes and property litigation (residential and commercial).
* Excellent drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
* Commercially focused with the ability to manage complex caseloads independently.
* A collaborative and proactive team player with an appetite for business development.
