Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team based in Ipswich. You’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing diesel driven equipment, providing engineered solutions for customer requirements, and supporting both planned works and emergency call-outs. What you’ll be doing: * Installing and commissioning equipment on site * Servicing and repairing diesel engine equipment and associated equipment * Diagnosing faults and producing technical reports * Ensuring compliance with H&S and environmental regulations * Liaising with customers and providing technical support * Planning maintenance using a computerised management system * Supporting depot operations, stock checks and audits What we’re looking for: * Ideally City & Guilds (or equivalent) in a mechanical engineering discipline or relevant work experience. * Proven experience in a mechanical or engineering environment (Diesel engines, heavy equipment preferred) * Electrical knowledge is desirable but not essential * Strong communication skills and a flexible, hands-on attitude * Ability to work independently and lead small teams on site * The role requires flexibility, including responding to emergency call-outs when needed.
