This job role is full time / permanent and will have future progression opportunities for the right candidate. The role You will be responsible for all aspects of component fabrication using a variety of techniques to form new structures. Acting in a professional and reliable manner you will be working to drawings, written and verbal instructions. Working in partnership with your shop floor colleagues and taking instruction from senior management. Role Responsibilities Undertaking all types of mild steel fabrications. Reading, understanding and executing works using fabrication drawings. Mig welding and occasionally TIG welding. Keep fabrication records on drawings in line with factory production control procedures. Visual inspection and testing welds with precision measuring instruments. Operating machinery and plant, including hand tools, power tools and forklift (training provided). Role Requirements Have the ability to read and interpret architectural, engineering and fabrication drawings, be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Be able to fabricate and weld to a high standard of quality in a timely manner. Be self-motivated with excellent time keeping and outstanding attendance record. Follow company weld procedures and achieve relevant welder qualifications as required and to the highest levels of quality. Experience of MMA welding and site works would be desirable. CSCS operatives card, any MWEP or PASMA qualifications or any forklift & lifting equipment qualifications would be advantageous.
