Position Overview
As a CMM Programmer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of precision engineered plastic and metallic components. Key Responsibilities
* Offline programming and operation of CMMs and optical measuring machines to inspect and validate the dimensional accuracy of precision machined components.
* Collaborate with the production and quality teams to establish and optimise inspection processes.
* Develop and maintain CMM programs, ensuring they meet the specifications and requirements of automotive manufacturers.
* Conduct thorough inspections of manufactured components, identifying and addressing any deviations from quality standards.
* Work closely with engineering and design teams to provide feedback on tooling and process improvements.
* Generate comprehensive reports detailing inspection results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall production efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
* Solid fundamental understanding of GD&T.
* Track record of Offline CMM Programming (CNC programmers considered).
* Familiarity with precision engineered components with complex dimensions.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and address issues with precision.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
* A collaborative approach to work is vital in a friendly, cross‑functional team.
