Position Description:

CGI is seeking a high-impact and results-driven Business Development Lead to strengthen our sales engine within Global Technology Operations. This strategic role will see you focus on selling our portfolio of Managed IT Services into both new and existing clients, driving growth by spotting opportunities, building pipeline, and converting them into profitable, sustainable wins. By leveraging your established industry network and deep understanding of the IT sales cycle, you will play a pivotal role in securing major deals and shaping CGI’s continued success. Working as part of a collaborative team of Business Development Leads, you will carry ownership of individual growth targets while being fully supported to innovate and deliver lasting impact.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

In this role, you will act as a true growth driver for CGI, leading opportunities through the full sales cycle from origination and qualification to negotiation and contract closure. You will leverage your strong network of C-suite relationships to open new doors, expand CGI’s presence in the market, and deliver against individual sales targets. By demonstrating the breadth of CGI’s propositions and the long-term value of a relationship with us, you will build trusted partnerships that translate into measurable business outcomes.

Collaboration will be central to your success. You will work closely with Vice Presidents, account teams, and bid/delivery colleagues to shape compelling propositions, ensuring every opportunity is both innovative and deliverable. You will also contribute to our wider business development strategy by providing market insight, representing CGI at VIP meetings and events, and sharing thought leadership that positions CGI as a partner of choice.

Key responsibilities include:
Deliver against personal sales and growth targets for Managed IT Services.
Build, grow, and sustain C-level client relationships using your established network.
Proactively identify, cultivate, and qualify new opportunities.
Lead opportunities end-to-end through CGI’s full sales cycle.
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline aligned with GTO growth objectives.
Collaborate with internal teams to shape and deliver compelling client propositions.
Demonstrate CGI’s full capabilities to highlight long-term client value.
Represent CGI at industry events and VIP meetings to build visibility and credibility.
Provide competitor and market intelligence to shape future strategy.

To excel in this role, you will bring demonstrable success in Managed IT Services sales and a strong network of senior industry contacts. You should be an experienced business development professional with the creativity, commercial acumen, and drive to deliver high-value outcomes in complex environments.
You should have:
Proven track record of winning significant Managed IT Services deals.
Strong knowledge and experience of the IT sales cycle, from origination to closure.
Established C-level network with the ability to open new doors.
Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to build compelling business cases.
Experience collaborating across matrix teams to deliver client success.
Highly driven, self-motivated, and able to balance creativity with results.
