Job Title: Contracts Manager – Demolition, Enabling, Remediation & Earthworks Reports To: Operations Director Location: South East (projects across the South East and London) Purpose of the Role: The Contracts Manager will take full ownership of the technical, operational, and commercial delivery of multiple projects within the demolition, remediation, and earthworks division. This individual will be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary site teams, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably while maintaining exceptional standards of client satisfaction and compliance. Key Responsibilities Oversee the delivery and management of multiple live projects across the South East, with individual project values typically ranging from £1m–£10m. Manage project teams including Site Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and Subcontractors. Lead on planning, resourcing, and financial forecasting, ensuring each project is delivered within budget and timescale. Oversee and approve method statements, risk assessments (RAMS), and programmes of works. Conduct regular site inspections to assess safety, progress, and quality. Drive best practice in health, safety, and environmental management, ensuring full compliance with CDM Regulations and internal HSEQ procedures. Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and local authorities, attending project and progress meetings. Support pre-construction and tendering activities, providing technical input and buildability reviews. Prepare and present monthly project performance reports to senior management. Geographical Area to Cover: South East England (Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire, and Greater London) 4️⃣ The Person Experience Required: Minimum 10–15 years’ experience in project or contracts management within the demolition, remediation, or earthworks sectors. Proven experience managing multi-million-pound projects from inception through to completion. Strong understanding of commercial project management, cost control, and subcontractor coordination. In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, CDM 2015, and environmental compliance. Demonstrable record of building and leading high-performing site teams. Qualifications Required: Degree or HNC/D in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Environmental Engineering. SMSTS and CSCS (Manager level). Asbestos Awareness / Non-Licensed Works Training. IOSH Managing Safely (preferred). Full UK Driving Licence.
