The Through Care Service is made up of Social Workers, Personal Advisers (PAs), Children and Families Workers and a Housing Liaison Officer. Our team provide social work and personal advice to children in care and care leavers aged 12 to 25. We are looking for a Housing Liaison Officer to join our Through Care service within Children’s Services. This role is key to supporting care leavers in securing permanent housing and making a successful transition to independent living. You will work closely with personal advisors, housing teams, and external providers to ensure accommodation options are identified and accessed in line with care plans. The role involves advising and empowering young people, contributing to housing policy development, and collaborating across services to prevent homelessness. All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role. This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
