About Us PDSA is a special organisation that provides veterinary care for people across the UK who otherwise would not be able to afford to treat their pets. What we do really matters! Our approach is unique as we combine pragmatism with a strong client care focus to deliver good clinical outcomes – we focus on measuring our impact rather than targets. About You We are looking for qualified vets who enjoy a wide variety of cases and are looking for every day to be an interesting day and make a difference to people’s lives. The majority of our patients are sick or injured, though we do provide preventive health services too. Most of our caseload is not insured so PDSA routinely treat the more complex medical and surgical conditions. We prioritise development of clinical skills for all our vets, wherever you are in your career, so as a team we have the skills to deliver a great service. At PDSA, we are very good at teamwork and our vets benefit from the shared learning, confidence building and enjoyment that good teamwork brings. We have double consult rooms for a more enjoyable and supportive consulting experience About the Hospital Our Pet Hospital is modern and well-equipped and includes separate dog and cat kennelling facilities, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases and extensive orthopaedic equipment. The size of our combined hospital teams allows for a flexible approach to weekend rotas and our weekend day-times are shared by our vets on a rota basis, with enhanced pay and stand down time in the week when a weekend day is worked. There is no on-call and our OOH service is covered by an OOH provider from 7pm (6pm at weekends). We are situated close to the city centre, at walking distance from the train station, and have staff parking available at site. We have a spacious staff room and green outdoor staff area where we enjoy our breaks and lunchtimes.
