Part-time/Freelance: 20 hours a week. Working days and hours are negotiable and will be agreed with the successful candidate.

GARMENT TECHNOLOGIST- LUXURY BABY AND CHILDRENSWEAR
A key role within the product team, you’ll be joining as our Part-Time/Freelance Garment Technologist who is responsible for the fit, quality and compliance of our collections in accordance with our critical path.
* Previous experience operating as a Junior Garment Technologist
* Understanding of grading and fitting, creating and adapting spec sheets and an excellent knowledge of garment construction.
* Understanding of compliance for childrenswear product testing and owning compliance requirements for new countries. Ability to understand testing reports and propose required testing for all categories.
* Ability to translate fit sessions into clear fit comments for all product stages and communicate directly with the factory to ensure understanding and action.
* Ability to juggle multiple seasons at the same time in a fast-paced environment- keeping to agreed deadlines, and ability to constantly re prioritise as required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Main tasks
* Working closely with designer/production manager to build coherent tech sheets and grading.
* Creating how to measure diagrams and communicating with factories to ensure consistency.
* Measuring and fitting all samples across all seasons, making improvements and making comments within the tech packs. Directly communicating with the factories to ensure understanding and action of all comments.
* Taking ownership of the role and manage the weekly tasks accordingly to the critical path and deadlines.
* Ensuring that all carry over blocks are approved for all sizes for each factory and build a block library to ensure speedy replen for minimising sampling once in production.
* Proposing and approving test reports for wash care and carrying out any wear testing.
* Explore implementation of AQL procedure in factories for quality control.
* Communicating with factories on development and production issues and comments. Chasing in sampling and ensuring the set critical path is adhered too.
