Vehicle Engineering team plays a pivotal role in ensuring every Aston Martin vehicle expresses our brand DNA and delivers the intended level of attribute performance, acting at the centre of vehicle programme delivery and providing a critical technical integration function with broad cross‑functional engagement across engineering, quality, manufacturing and programme management.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the Vehicle Engineering Manager or Senior Manager, this senior role leads key vehicle engineering activities across attributes, virtual development, design verification and prototype builds, ensuring products meet customer expectations and business requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
In close partnership with the Vehicle Engineering Manager or Senior Manager, you will lead vehicle engineering activities and support programmes through technical checkpoints and gateways, taking ownership of programme health, leading Tech Forum inputs, and ensuring issues are prioritised with data‑driven recommendations. You will also lead elements of Vehicle Integration Team meetings, resolving complex cross‑functional vehicle engineering issues, monitoring escalation and governance, and supporting the resolution of design, architecture, attribute, DVP, build and fleet topics. You will operate across four core pillars: vehicle attributes, design verification planning, virtual development, and prototype activities, ensuring delivery of platform bandwidth, technical specifications, robustness, verification activities, hardware and software pedigree, and prototype vehicle builds.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in whole‑vehicle engineering, development or testing
* Engineering degree or equivalent experience
* Experience managing complex systems integration
* Strong background in engineering issue investigation and structured problem‑solving
* Experience leading cross‑functional teams
* Previous vehicle attribute assessment exposure
* Working knowledge of CAD and Teamcenter
* Strong Microsoft Office capability, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
