Job Title: Bid Writer - Social Housing
Location: London
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Working Pattern: 4 days per week in the office

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Bid Writer to join a well-established main contractor delivering projects across the social housing sector. This role will focus on writing high-quality, compliant bids for maintenance, facilities management, and fire safety contracts, working closely with operational, commercial, and technical teams.
You will be responsible for producing compelling written responses for public sector tenders, frameworks, and repeat client opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Write clear, well-structured bid responses for social housing contracts
* Deliver written content for maintenance, FM, and fire safety tenders
* Manage bid sections from first draft through to final submission
* Ensure full compliance with client instructions and public sector procurement requirements
* Work closely with operations, commercial, H&S, and technical teams to gather information
* Review and edit content to ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy
* Support bid planning and review meetings
* Maintain and update bid libraries, case studies, and standard responses
Key Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years' experience writing bids within construction
* Experience working for a main contractor
* Strong knowledge of social housing maintenance, FM, and fire safety contracts
* Proven experience responding to public sector tenders and frameworks
* Excellent written communication and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple bids to tight deadlines
* Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
