AVA are partnered with a major IPP in the search for a Senior Solar Design Engineer to lead the in-house design of large-scale solar PV projects - driving optimisation, value engineering, and technical leadership. The role is based in Bristol with a hybrid working model (minimum 3 days per week in the office).
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and mentor a small technical design team
* Produce and sign off high-quality solar layouts and PVSyst yield analyses
* Optimise designs to EPC build standards
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, FP&A, and EPC contractors
Your Profile:
* Engineering degree and 5+ years’ solar design experience
* Strong technical and commercial understanding of ground-mounted PV systems
* Proven team leadership and training experience
