The vacancy
The Pension Protection Fund's main function is to provide compensation to members of eligible defined benefit pension schemes, when there is a qualifying insolvency event in relation to the employer, and where there are insufficient assets in the pension scheme to cover the Pension Protection Fund level of compensation.

Sustainable Investment -
Climate Manager
to join our ESG team, working closely with our Head of ESG & Sustainability and Stewardship Manager, as well as the broader investment team.
The Climate Manager will be responsible for leading the implementation and further development of the PPF's Climate Change Strategy and defining our approach regarding the energy transition. This includes progressing our understanding of credible and realistic transition planning for our investments. They will build on improving our understanding of management of climate-related risks and opportunities, delivering complex insights and analysis through succinct disclosure of climate metrics across our investments. The post-holder also works directly with the investment team to review potential findings, co-investments or direct deals from an ESG due diligence perspective.
We're looking for a seasoned sustainable investment professional with an expert grasp of industry best practices and the ability to embed ESG principles across a range of asset classes. Interested candidates will bring a proven track record in analysing, managing, and presenting climate-related topics within an investment context—so experience with day-to-day assets, funds, and private markets is essential. Finally, proven successes achieved to-date will be backed by a relevant degree and investment-related qualifications.
