Morgan Hunt are currently working with a Professional Regulatory Body in their search for a permanent Head of Forensic Investigations to join the leadership team of a high-profile organisation and play a key role in leading the delivery of complex, high-risk forensic investigations that uphold professional standards and protect the public.

Hybrid - 2 days per week in office (Birmingham, London or Cardiff) [requirement to attend Birmingham office once per week (expensed)]
Key Responsibilities
* Lead teams delivering complex, high-profile forensic investigations in line with regulatory objectives.
* Oversee forensic accounting work, ensuring quality, timeliness and adherence to relevant legislation.
* Provide strategic leadership on case direction and decision-making across complex and sensitive investigations.
* Ensure consistent application of accounts rules and related regulatory frameworks.
* Drive continuous improvement and high standards across operational teams.
* Develop and maintain influential relationships with senior external stakeholders, including law enforcement, financial institutions and other regulators.
* Represent the organisation externally at events and presentations, promoting professional standards.
* Identify emerging risks and themes, escalating appropriately to inform regulatory responses.
* Contribute to strategic leadership across the wider investigations directorate.
Candidate Profile
* Qualified accountant with significant experience overseeing forensic accounting and investigations.
* Embedded knowledge of accounts rules and thorough understanding of related legislation (Solicitors Act, Legal Services Act, relevant case law).
* Strong operational and strategic decision-making skills in complex investigative contexts.
* Experience delivering high-quality forensic investigations and driving performance standards.
* Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, including law enforcement and other regulatory bodies.
* Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
* Demonstrated leadership experience managing specialist operational teams and managers.
* Understanding of the legal profession and wider regulatory environment.
