Job Title: Environmental Officer
Location: Coleford + travel to different sites
Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week

Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and internal standards
* Monitor and report on environmental performance
* Conduct site inspections and audits
* Oversee waste and resource management initiatives
* Lead training programmes to enhance environmental awareness
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into operations
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental compliance or sustainability, preferably in manufacturing
* Proven ability to interpret and apply environmental regulations
* Familiarity with environmental audits and risk assessments
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
* Postgraduate qualification in environmental management or sustainability (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor)
* Experience with ISO standards and environmental management systems
* Knowledge of carbon emissions reporting and data analysis
Technologies:
* Proficiency in environmental monitoring and reporting tools
* Experience with data collection and analysis software
* Familiarity with compliance documentation systems
