Job Title: Logistics Manager – Construction Location: Southampton Duation: 18 months Start Date: 1st September 2025 Future Build Recruitment are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to work for a Tier One main contractor client of ours on a long term new build and refurbishment project at Southampton University. As the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the movement of materials, equipment, and personnel across our construction sites. You’ll play a key role in maintaining smooth operations, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and implement logistics plans for construction projects * Coordinate deliveries and ensure timely supply of materials to site * Manage site storage, traffic flow, and laydown areas * Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and site managers * Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations * Optimize logistics strategies to reduce costs and delays * Maintain accurate records and documentation Requirements * Proven experience in construction logistics or site coordination * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and leadership abilities * Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and supply chains * Proficiency in logistics software/tools is an advantage * CSCS card and relevant certifications (SMSTS/SSSTS) preferred If you are a Logisitcs Manager seeking a new opportunity and this role sounds of interest, please forward your CV today and we will come back to you
