Overview
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Quality Engineer in the Engine Overhaul Services (EOS) team, based in Derby, UK within the Aftermarket Operations business. The Engine Overhaul Services (EOS) facility is 27,000m², with around 550 employees, and operational for 20 hours a day, 365 days a year. As the only wholly owned Large Engine MRO facility, with capability to maintain all modern Trent engines, EOS is fundamental to the future success of the Civil Aerospace Business. EOS performs Engine Maintenance activity under Part 145 regulatory control on circa 140 Trent Engines per year – predominantly Trent 1000, 7000 and XWB – though this is expected to rise to circa 200 engines per year in 2025 as the facility footprint expands in line with shop visit demand. In addition, as the only 100 % Rolls‑Royce owned Overhaul Shop within the global Maintenance network, EOS is heavily involved in the development of new overhaul processes and capabilities, and the management of engines that require specialist investigations.
