We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
* Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and high standards of service.
* Supervise and support front-of-house staff, including serving and hospitality teams, fostering a positive work environment.
* Oversee food preparation and food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
* Coordinate food production activities in the kitchen, maintaining quality standards and timely delivery of orders.
* Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and supervise team members to optimise productivity.
* Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally.
* Assist in training new staff members in service protocols, food safety standards, and culinary practices such as cooking and food presentation.
* Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and liaise with suppliers when necessary.
* Uphold cleanliness standards across all areas of the restaurant, including kitchen hygiene and dining spaces.
* Support the implementation of promotional activities and special events to enhance guest engagement.
Qualifications
* Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong leadership qualities with excellent team management skills.
* Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices.
* Experience in food safety regulations and food production processes.
* Familiarity with restaurant operations including serving, barista experience is advantageous.
* Previous hotel or bar experience is desirable but not essential.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
* Good communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
