Job Description:
Your new company
Your new job working as a Commercial Client Executive will be with one of the UK’s leading independent Lloyd’s brokers. Located in the city and across the UK, these brokers prioritize understanding every detail of their clients’ businesses and work in partnership to provide comprehensive service. The company offers unbiased access to the market and places cover with an established insurer network. They operate nationally with regional offices and internationally with global specialists. They provide innovative risk advice and insurance programs designed to confidently protect clients’ risks. Due to growth in one division, a role has arisen for a Commercial Client Executive to join an established niche team. This role can be based in London or Chelmsford, or a mix of both, depending on your location.
Your new role
As a Commercial Client Executive, you will work closely with Client Directors and Advisors on new business, mid-term adjustments, and renewals. You will act as a Client Executive/Advisor on specific accounts and support the division as needed. Responsibilities include managing client renewals and new business from inception to completion, attending client meetings, negotiating terms, reviewing cover requirements, checking policy documents, and assisting the Claims department. You will be involved in the team pipeline for referrals and may support Client Directors on larger cases. Additional duties include handling enquiries, preparing client registers, checking policy documents, creating Acturis records, and producing renewal documentation and invoices.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience as a Commercial Account Executive or similar role is essential. Experience handling clients from inception to completion, including face-to-face interactions, is required. Knowledge of Acturis is beneficial. You must act professionally and with integrity in a highly regulated environment. Excellent communication skills, the ability to manage and delegate workloads, and the capacity to develop and maintain relationships are necessary. You should be able to visit clients independently and handle accounts from start to finish. A minimum of a Cert CII qualification is preferred.
What you'll get in return
A salary of up to £50,000 plus comprehensive benefits. Support from Directors and Managers, with opportunities for development. You will be part of a growing, friendly team with a shared vision to expand.
