Overview
Session Leader for Weekly Art and Craft Sessions
The Art Ministry is a small local charity that has been around for over 30 years. We believe that by helping our local community engage in affordable art and craft activities they can maintain or improve their mental health and wellbeing.
If you also believe this, want to have a positive impact on the community, and have the required skills and experience, then why not apply to become a Session Leader at The Art Ministry.
We have vacancy for session leader for our Hadleigh based one and a half hour weekly art and craft session for young adults that have some sort of additional need due to a learning and/or physical disability.
The young adults’ sessions run from 6pm to 7.30pm on Tuesdays. They cater for up to 10 participants and run all year. There is no personal care involved, some participants may come with parents, carers or siblings.
The salary is £195 per calendar month paid over 12 months, in return for working an average of 3.25 hours per week. This working time includes the duration of the session and time for preparing, sourcing, setting up, clearing away and reporting over the course of a week.
The Art Ministry is an organisation committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff, trustees and volunteers to share this commitment. As such we will carry out an Enhanced DBS Check and obtain references.
