IT Network & Telecommunications Administrator
Salary: £36,000 - £48,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm (40 hours/week)
Location: Northampton office based

Purpose of the Role
Responsible for managing technology efficiently using tools and scripting. Organizes, leads, and coordinates with other IT departments to ensure system components are properly managed.
* Designs and develops complex, integrated solutions to meet business needs or improve Garmin’s network and telecommunications systems.
* Performs cost analyses and vendor comparisons for projects to ensure cost-effective operations. Measures feasibility and makes recommendations.
* Continuously develops expertise on current and emerging network & telecommunications technologies.
* Communicates effectively regarding system operations and changes.
* Adheres to SOX, PCI, and other regulatory requirements.
* Understands and manages capacity, redundancy, and health constraints.
* Ensures security requirements are met or exceeded.
* Uses standards and procedures proficiently.
* Communicates effectively in a team or departmental setting.
* Aligns with Garmin’s Mission Statement and Quality Policy, showing enthusiasm for company success.
* Mentors less experienced IT Administrators.
* Provides reliable solutions using problem-solving techniques including root cause analysis.
* Performs minor version upgrades and recommends component improvements.
* Identifies interdependencies and coordinates system changes.
* Participates in planning and leads meetings with IT users.
* Adapts to change and welcomes feedback.
* Monitors appropriate security access levels.
Education & Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Business, or related field, or 2 years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination.
* Ability to solve moderately complex technical problems independently.
* Experience in implementing technology solutions successfully.
* Strong communication skills in small team settings.
* Knowledge of IT Infrastructure, including Telephony: Avaya, SIP, Microsoft Teams Voice.
